Voting Rules
AIM OF
THE BIG PITCH VOTE
The aim of
The Big Pitch online vote is to find which of The Big Pitch final projects the
public would most like to see produced. The vote is a non-commercial enterprise
and positions on the vote cannot be purchased. The winning project will be
decided when online votes are added to the live audience votes at The Big Pitch
final event on December 6th 2008. The winning project will be
awarded production finance from Moxie Makers for their film (a minimum of
£150,000) together with a post-production deal with Molinare, guaranteed UK
distribution with Soda Makers and international sales representation with
Moxiehouse Entertainment. The film will receive its red-carpet Gala Premiere as
part of the Northern Lights Film Festival in 2009.
HOW TO
VOTE
Voting is
open during the advertised voting window to everyone registered at www.the-big-pitch.co.uk
or www.the-big-pitch.com and to
individuals who attend the live Big Pitch Final event. The weighting of the vote will be split equally between the online votes and the votes at the live Big Pitch Final. Fifty percent of the final decision comes from the live audience and fifty percent from the online votes.
RULES OF
VOTING
·
Each
voter is allowed to vote online only ONCE per project.
·
Voters
must provide a valid email address to register and thus be able to vote.
·
All
fraudulent entries identified are disqualified.
·
At the
Moxie Makers’ discretion, multiple votes cast from a single IP address may be
counted as one vote.
·
Moxie
Makers reserve the right to remove any project from The Big Pitch competition.
PROMOTION
OF VOTING
Teams may
promote the vote to the online public by any method they deem fit excluding: offering
any financial or material inducement designed to encourage voting, and misrepresenting
their own or competing projects to the voting public.
Moxie Makers does not accept any responsibility
for votes which fail to be received by us due to the Internet.
Moxie Makers reserves the right to cancel this
vote and draw without notice.
Moxie Makers’ decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
Voting means that you have accepted these
rules and have agreed to be bound by them.
Moxie Makers reserve the right to discount any vote which Moxie Makers believes has been submitted in contradiction with any of these rules. Further, Moxie Makers reserve the right to disqualify any contestant that Moxie Makers believes to have attempted to subvert any of the competition rules.
Moxie Makers reserves the right to amend these rules in its sole discretion.
